1. Battery should be kept at -4*F to 113*F in warehouse where it’s dry, clean and well-ventilated.
2. During install of battery, do not drop or short circuit that battery terminals. This will cause damage to the cells or BMS
Warning
In order to prevent the battery from being damaged getting hot or exploding, please pay attention to preventing measure as follows:
- Never throw the battery into water, keep it under dry, cool circumstance when not use.
- Never set the battery on positive and negative.
- Never Short circuit the positive/negative of battery together or to metal objects
- Never throw or drop the battery.
- Never cut through the battery.
Warning- If one of Skinny Water Marines-approved chargers ( 24v charger ) are not purchased or used with the battery, Skinny Water Marine is not responsible for your battery not charging properly. Many of the labeled lithium chargers on the market are not set up to charge our batteries at the correct voltage. We highly recommend to purchase and use our chargers only.
Tips
- Never use or keep the battery in a high temperature environment. Otherwise, it will cause battery heat up and could lose function or reduce the life of the cells. The proposed temperature for long-term storage is 50*F to 113*F.
- Never throw the battery into a fire; scrap battery with terminals covered with tape to prevent short circuit.
- Never use the battery near a strong static and strong magnetic field, otherwise it will destroy the battery management system.
- If the battery leaks the electrolyte get into your eyes, please flush out with water immediately and see a health care provider.
- If battery emits an odor, swells during use, storage, or the charging process, please take it out of service and or remove the charger.
- Check the voltage of battery and relevant connectors before using the battery.
- The battery should be stored at 100% SOC. It needs to be charged every 3 months even in storage.
